Catholic Youth
The Catholic Youth Geraldton is a dynamic and welcoming community for young Catholics aged 14 to 20 seeking to deepen their faith, form meaningful friendships, and actively engage in spiritual growth. Our mission is to come together in faith, support one another, and create an environment where exploring Catholicism is both enriching and enjoyable. Through fellowship, learning, and service, we aim to inspire young people to live out their faith with enthusiasm and commitment.
When Do We Meet?
We gather on the last Saturday of each month from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. These meetings are a time of connection, learning, and sharing, offering a space where youth can grow spiritually and socially in a supportive community.

What Happens During Our Meetings?
Our meetings are designed to make biblical learning fun and interactive! Each session includes:
- Engaging games and activities that bring biblical themes to life.
- Open discussions where participants can ask questions and share their thoughts on faith-related topics.
- Talks by priests or guest speakers who provide insights on our monthly theme.
- Collaborations with other Christian Youth groups in Geraldton and Perth to build a broader faith-based network.
- Community service activities, such as volunteering at aged care facilities and supporting local charities.
- Social events including camping trips, pilgrimages, movie nights, and more to strengthen our sense of community and fellowship.
Currently Focusing Events
CYG is excited to participate in various events that help us grow in faith and community, including:
- Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2025 in Melbourne – A national gathering of young Catholics to celebrate and deepen their faith.
- Catholic Retreats – Opportunities for spiritual reflection, renewal, and connection with God.
- World Youth Day 2027 in South Korea – A global event uniting young Catholics from around the world in a vibrant faith-filled experience.
- Catholic Youth Worship Mass – A special Mass dedicated to young people, fostering a deeper connection with faith through worship and prayer.
Our Fundraising Efforts
To make these enriching experiences possible, we actively participate in volunteer missions and fundraising initiatives. Our planned activities include:
- Local bake sales and charity drives.
- Community service projects to support those in need.
- Fundraising events such as quiz nights, car washes, and market stalls.
By working together, we ensure that every member has the opportunity to be part of these incredible experiences, strengthening both faith and community bonds.
We welcome all young people who are curious about their faith or looking for a place to belong. Come join us on this journey of faith, friendship, and service!
We are also looking for leaders aged 20 and above to help guide and support our youth members.
