The Annual Mass of the Holy Oils  (Chrism Mass) and renewal of Commitment to Christian Service

Priests ministering in the Geraldton Diocese gather to celebrate Mass with the Bishop and renew their Priestly commitment. Parishioners are invited to attend and offer prayerful support for their Priests

29th March 2026

Regular Sunday Mass times in all churches

We recall Christ’s triumphant entry to Jerusalem in the days leading up to his Passion and Death. Palms will be blessed at all parish Masses and these can be taken home afterwards for safe keeping during the year ahead. St. Matthew’s Passion will be read at all Masses.

Second Rite of Reconciliation  – Monday 30th March 2026 at 7:00 pm in the Cathedral

2nd April 2026

Holy Thursday at 7:00 PM

Mass of the Lord’s Supper including Gloria, Washing of Feet, followed by adoration before the Blessed Sacrament until 10pm in the Cathedral.

The liturgical gesture of washing feet ritualises the Christian ideal of a leadership of service, a service which Christ expresses fully by laying down his life on the cross.

The Sacred Paschal Triduum of the Passion and Resurrection of the Lord shines forth as the high point of the entire liturgical year. The Paschal Triduum begins with the Mass of the Lord’s supper, has its centre in the Easter Vigil, and closes with Vespers (evening prayer) of the Sunday of the Resurrection.
